Sound Diagrams is the first full length album from John Linger. The album was created within a 2 week period in 2015, using completely improvised basic tracks and stream-of-consciousness lyrics. No songs were prepared in advance and each song was completed within one day.

The album represents a spontaneous but complete and succinct projection of Linger's songwriting, with melodic and melancholy pop songs rubbing shoulders with more experimental and abrasive material.

Vocal and instrumental styles vary as much as the material, with some songs featuring fragile, shaky falsetto vocals alongside fuzz guitar and 1970s drum machines.

The album offers fruits from a brief window of constraints and a vague concept. As vulnerable to failure as this sounds, the proof is in the utter solidity of Sound Diagrams.
